Sara Pedigo showed me another artist named Hilary Wilder. She some paintings that incorporate the space of the gallery they are displayed in and she builds shelves and ads those into her paintings. They show some similarities to the work I have been doing this semester, except I feel like her work is a million times better than mine. She does amazing abstract paintings that look like their own worlds and giant explosions and stuff. They are amazing her use of color is so rich and vivid.

My work has been coming along okay. There were snags in whether or not I wanted to continue 3D paintings or what to use as subject matter but I still think I want to continue with them. I made this small triangular wood canvas and a flat wood piece that I put thick paint on as a texture study mostly.
I also built this wooden surface to paint on using small pieces of wood all glued together. I like the textures of the wood and the look of them all pieced together.
