Painting 2: Post 3

After completing assignment number five where we had to modify a classmate's painting, we were set out to explore our own interests and create paintings without assigned criteria. This is both liberating, and a little but daunting due to the required creativity involved. Sometimes it is easier when given a direction to make something worth while. Coming up with a good direction is sometimes the hardest part.

Some of my interests this semester have included geometric shapes, and 3D protruding objects from the painting surface. I have made a few paintings this way for BA and did the building this way when modifying my classmate's work.

I have a start on a painting of this style but am running into some issues with painting style and how to make it all make sense. This is the started painting:
